About The Kom Ombo Foundation

At The Kom Ombo Institute, we believe that the survival of our planet’s most vulnerable species depends on a fundamental shift in how humanity interacts with the natural world. We operate as a strategic philanthropic partner, donating to and collaborating with established wildlife conservation and land stewardship non-profits to ensure a sustainable future for the wild.

Our Core Philosophy: Peace Through Harmony

Our guiding principle, "Peace Through Harmony," is inspired by the natural world itself. In nature, diverse species coexist in a delicate, balanced equilibrium. We believe that true global peace and environmental stability can only be achieved when humans learn to live in harmony with the ecosystems that sustain us.

Our Current Mission: Protecting Uganda’s Gorillas

Our primary focus is the preservation of gorilla habitats in Uganda. We don't just protect the forest; we invest in the human-wildlife frontier.

The survival of the mountain gorilla is inextricably linked to the prosperity of the people living alongside them. To address this, we have partnered with The FRCC to support local coffee farmers. These farmers serve as the critical "living border" between modern civilization and the ancient jungles the gorillas call home.

Join Us for the "Guardians of The Primates" Annual Fundraiser

The Kom Ombo Institute invites you to a day of sport, community, and conservation. We are hosting our Annual Golf Tournament & Gun Raffle, with 100% of the proceeds going directly toward protecting gorilla habitats in Uganda and supporting the coffee-farming communities that keep them safe.

Why Your Participation Matters

In the mountain forests of Uganda, the line between survival and extinction is thin. By participating in this event, you are:

  • Preventing Poaching: Providing alternative livelihoods so locals don't have to enter the forest.

  • Securing Borders: Helping coffee farmers maintain the buffer zone that protects gorillas from human-borne illness.

  • Restoring Habitat: Funding the land stewardship required to keep the jungle wild.
